Diagnostic Review Meeting

Review diagnostic results, validate the hypothesis, create the intervention plan (or schedule additional diagnostics).

Complete Problem Analysis & Design the Intervention

This takes place after diagnostic assessments have been completed.

Purpose: Review the diagnostic information to determine whether the team hypothesis is supported.

During this meeting your team will:

Review Diagnostic Results

  • Review assessment results
  • Review observations
  • Review any additional information collected

Validate the Hypothesis

Perform hypothesis validation to determine whether the evidence:

  • Supports the hypothesis
  • Suggests the hypothesis should be revised
  • Indicates additional information is needed

Make a Decision

If the hypothesis is supported:

  • Identify the target skill(s)
  • Develop a measurable goal.
  • Select an evidence based intervention
  • Develop the intervention plan
  • Schedule the intervention review meeting

If the hypothesis is not supported:

  • Revise the hypothesis
  • Select additional assessments
  • Schedule another diagnostic review meeting.
