It identifies the specific skill to be taught, establishes a measurable goal, outlines how the intervention will be delivered, and defines how progress will be monitored.
A strong intervention plan should:
- Target the student's identified area of need and validated hypothesis.
- Include a clear, measurable goal.
- Use an evidence-based intervention and a progress monitoring measure that align to the same target.
Remember: Every part of the intervention plan should work together. The target skill, measurable goal, intervention, and progress monitoring measure should all focus on the same identified area of need.
